Meet the OSH Team
Members of our health & safety team are based in offices in Wellington, Napier, New Plymouth, and Nelson.
David Wutzler – Team Leader Occupational Health & Safety
David's experience in human resource management and health & safety in industry compliments his many years' experience and detailed knowledge of health and safety and ACC issues.
Delivering consultancy and training services to employers in all industries has given David a depth of knowledge on the practical application of statutory requirements that is second to none.
David is an auditor for the ACC Partnership Programme and Workplace Safety Management Practices programme, and an accredited safety auditor under the International Safety Ratings System (ISRS) in the USA. David holds postgraduate qualifications in Industrial Psychology and registration with NZCER, which allow him to administer psychological and aptitude tests.
Darryl Le Claire – Senior Consultant
Darryl is a Senior OHS Consultant with the ECCC Central team in Napier. He is an experienced HR and Health & Safety Management practitioner and is a Business Studies graduate from Massey University.
His background in IT, HR, OSH and QA management roles enables Darryl to advise and assist ECCC Central members seeking to achieve compliance, good practice or best practice standards in those aspects of their business. He has an appreciation of both corporate and small business environments and he enjoys giving pragmatic and relevant advice and assistance to ECCC members.
Darryl is an experienced OHS Trainer, conducting a significant number and variety of public and in-house courses each year in this important and topical aspect of business activity throughout the ECCC Central area of operation.
As an approved ACC WSMP auditor, Darryl undertakes a number of audits of business’s Health and Safety systems, processes and practices each year, on ACC’s behalf.
Adrienne Pryde – Consultant & Trainer
Before joining ECCC, Adrienne worked for three years with the Ministry of Justice developing and implementing their health and safety systems, including courts, tribunals and national office work.
Prior to this public sector experience Adrienne was with retail giant The Warehouse. Working with Managers to ensure the safety of both employees and customers. Other employment has included several manufacturing environments as the occupational health nurse which led to returning to university to further her education in the health and safety field.
Adrienne also ran her own consultancy business supporting a number of diverse organisations in the management of their health and safety.
Wanda Yardley – Food Safety Consultant
Wanda is currently studying toward her Masters in Management majoring in Occupational Safety and Health, she has Diplomas in Business Studies with endorsements in Dispute Resolution and Training and Development. She is an IANZ accredited and MAF Approved Food Safety auditor. Wanda has developed, implemented and conducted training programmes for both Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety in a range of businesses, which include Hospitals, Universities, Rest Homes, Cooked Chilled, Cafes and Catering businesses. She also had a private consulting company conducting Food Safety audits and writing and consulting on Food Safety Programmes.
Wanda worked for a major supermarket company for 10.5 years developing and implementing the compliance systems that include, Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Weights and Measures and Food Labelling. Wanda is based in the Palmerston North branch.
Shirlene Vautier – Senior OSH Consultant
Shirlene is an experienced health and safety practitioner who has worked in manufacturing, logistics, finance and social and public sectors. She has a comprehensive knowledge and application of health and safety legislation and practice, and also has experience in corporate social responsibility and environmental management.
Shirlene enjoys working with people to help them develop effective and durable solutions to their health and safety challenges. Her operating style is participatory and consultative, drawing on the skills and talents of those involved and identifying any areas that need to be addressed. She works effectively with Senior Management and Board representatives and is a credible and engaging trainer and presenter.
